Service Description

Your therapist will guide you through relaxation using a variety of clinically proven techniques. Autogenic Based on the idea of relaxing the mind in order to relax the body. Autogenic training is a relaxation technique focusing on promoting feelings of calm and relaxation in your body to help reduce stress and anxieties. More specifically, it helps mitigate anxieties resulting from situations or conditions that may overwhelm us with stress, frustration, or sadness Progressive muscle relaxation Through guidance, you will systematically tense and relax different muscle groups in your body. This can help you react to the first signs of the muscular tension that accompanies stress. And as your body relaxes, so will your mind. Constructive Rest Focused on relaxing into gravity. Beneficial for pregnancy and also for better sleep as it allows the body parts to return into neutral alignment assisting in relaxation. Progressive muscle relaxation A guided focus on all of your muscles being in a relaxed state. Similar to meditation you are taken on a journey around the body, releasing any tension you may find along the way. Attention is also placed on deep diaphragmatic breathing to help induce a relaxed state of body and thought. The goal of relaxation techniques is to encourage the natural relaxation response in your body by slowing breathing, lowering blood pressure, and, ultimately, producing a feeling of increased well-being.
